Meet Frank Gregory of CamWood Bats

A lifelong sports fan, Frank Gregory took his passion for baseball to the next level when he matched it with his entrepreneurial spirit to form CamWood Bats. Gregory's goal was much more than just "making a buck," he honestly wanted to bring a product to market that would help to improve the game that he so loves. He accomplished his mission when he released CamWood Bats' Hands-n-Speed Trainer.

Currently, over five-hundred little league, high school, university, and professional baseball and softball teams train with the innovative bat design. The ground-breaking design of the Hands-N-Speed Trainer forces the batter to hold the bat in a manner that increases their accuracy and "allows for a larger margin of error," according to Frank Anderson, Head Coach at Oklahoma State University Baseball. "[It] allowed us to get our hands in the right slot and right path through the ball". Anderson also stated, that with BBCOR, "we needed to stay up with the times".

Anderson's counterpart over in the in softball department at OSU, Rich Wieligman, states that, "CamWood Bat moves the weight into their hands, and doesn't let them break their swing down and cause bad habits." With their batting average up over.011 it is obvious that the OSU Cowgirls are breaking bad habits, not forming new ones.

Pros are also using the unique bat design. Gaby Sanchez of the Florida Marlins has been known to use the trainer when coaching children on proper technical swing and stance ( view video ). His teammate, infielder Wes Helms says "[the CamWood Bat] has enabled me to keep my bat through the zone a lot longer, [... and] has enabled me to hopefully put another 5 - 10 years on my career".

After such success with the Hands-n-Speed Trainer, Gregory then decided it was time to take things to the next level by introducing The Bucket Tee, through his website http://CamWoodBats.com. The Bucket Tee combines a retractable tee and a ball bucket, so the coach doesn't have to haul around so many cumbersome items when setting up for practice. While the concept might seem very simple, Frank Gregory researched different materials for quite some time before he was certain that the quality was worthy of the CamWood Bats' name.

Shortly after the release of the Bucket Tee, came the CamWood Bats' Game Bat Series. Customized with players' names, and a Sure Grip technology, it appears that Frank Gregory has hit yet another home run with CamWood Bats!

Meet Crystal Web of Bulldog Defense

Born and raised in Albany, Georgia, Crystal Webb now resides in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where she owns Bulldog Defense. Bulldog Defense is the result of many violent episodes that Crystal endured in her personal life, and her desire to make a difference in the life of others. After having been the victim of several hate crimes (one wherein a person was killed) , and the victim of a botched car burglary, Crystal decided that there must be a better way for the average person to protect themselves.

Crystal has made it her life's mission to make certain that people are both informed and prepared to deal with any situation that may arise that could result in them being injured. She is determined to impart self awareness on every person whom she encounters.

"Everybody has this mentality that, 'it's not going to happen to me' or 'I'm in a nice neighborhood'. Those days are gone," emphasized Webb during an interview with WMBF News. "Everybody needs to realize that no matter what type of area you live in or where you're at, this can happen."

Webb understands first hand that any traumatic crime leaves victims with scars below and above the surface.

"Anytime I look in the mirror, I see a scar where I took 19 stitches in my forehead and this guy was never arrested. Total stranger," recalls Webb.

While Crystal acknowledges that there is no way to be 100% safe at all times, there is a always a way to be better prepared, and that is what she hopes to offer those who take her seminars and purchase her products.

“Everyone may not be able to afford a Taser®, but they should be able to afford a stun gun,” says Crystal with regard to her extensive online retail catalog. The Stun Masters® available on the site range in price from $22.00 - $64.95, and will put out enough voltage to allow the potential victim time to get a head start in the opposite direction. The site also offers a line of Mace®, Personal Alarms, Security Cameras and Tasers®.

It is Crystal’s goal that no one should suffer through the unnecessary emotional and physical burdens caused by random violence that she has had to endure over the years, and she is willing to do what is needed to aid in prevention.
