Meet Frank Gregory of CamWood Bats

A lifelong sports fan, Frank Gregory took his passion for baseball to the next level when he matched it with his entrepreneurial spirit to form CamWood Bats. Gregory's goal was much more than just "making a buck," he honestly wanted to bring a product to market that would help to improve the game that he so loves. He accomplished his mission when he released CamWood Bats' Hands-n-Speed Trainer.

Currently, over five-hundred little league, high school, university, and professional baseball and softball teams train with the innovative bat design. The ground-breaking design of the Hands-N-Speed Trainer forces the batter to hold the bat in a manner that increases their accuracy and "allows for a larger margin of error," according to Frank Anderson, Head Coach at Oklahoma State University Baseball. "[It] allowed us to get our hands in the right slot and right path through the ball". Anderson also stated, that with BBCOR, "we needed to stay up with the times".

Anderson's counterpart over in the in softball department at OSU, Rich Wieligman, states that, "CamWood Bat moves the weight into their hands, and doesn't let them break their swing down and cause bad habits." With their batting average up over.011 it is obvious that the OSU Cowgirls are breaking bad habits, not forming new ones.

Pros are also using the unique bat design. Gaby Sanchez of the Florida Marlins has been known to use the trainer when coaching children on proper technical swing and stance ( view video ). His teammate, infielder Wes Helms says "[the CamWood Bat] has enabled me to keep my bat through the zone a lot longer, [... and] has enabled me to hopefully put another 5 - 10 years on my career".

After such success with the Hands-n-Speed Trainer, Gregory then decided it was time to take things to the next level by introducing The Bucket Tee, through his website http://CamWoodBats.com. The Bucket Tee combines a retractable tee and a ball bucket, so the coach doesn't have to haul around so many cumbersome items when setting up for practice. While the concept might seem very simple, Frank Gregory researched different materials for quite some time before he was certain that the quality was worthy of the CamWood Bats' name.

Shortly after the release of the Bucket Tee, came the CamWood Bats' Game Bat Series. Customized with players' names, and a Sure Grip technology, it appears that Frank Gregory has hit yet another home run with CamWood Bats!
